Alberta, Canada, train derailment, chemical explosion, evacuation of residents


Southern Alberta government said that a train derailed in Alberta today, due to concerns about chemical explosions, road and highway traffic was blocked, so evacuate nearby residents.

The Alberta Emergency Alert said that train derailment caused damage along the railroad and involved “chemical explosions.”

The Alberta Emergency Alert System stated that residents within a radius of 7 km were required to evacuate the area immediately.
