New York, Sept. 27, (BNA) UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met with a number of foreign ministers on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
His Highness also met with His Excellency Teodoro Luxin Junior, Foreign Minister of the Philippines, Nestor Popolizio of Peru, Alejandro Ferrer of Panama, Antonio Rivas, Paraguay Foreign Minister, South Korean Foreign Minister Kang-Kyung-wa, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and Ntembo Nandi Ndashwash Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Namibia and His Excellency José Candokwa Bashiko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mozambique.
The meetings included means of enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, including investment, culture, diplomacy, economic, trade, education, tourism, food security, renewable energy, agriculture, infrastructure and health between the UAE and these countries.
They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, including on the agenda of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and His Excellency Teodoro Luxen Jr, Foreign Minister of the Philippines, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines on cooperation in combating human trafficking.
The meetings were attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State, Omar bin Sultan Al Ulama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations, and Omar Saif Ghobash, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Cultural Affairs.
