Saudi Arabian state-run television station reported that a high-speed railway station in Jeddah, the western port city of Saudi Arabia, had a fire at around noon today, and a large amount of smoke was emitted from the scene. Five people were injured.
Al-Ekhbariya, the state-run television station of Saudi Arabia, reported: “There were five people who were slightly injured in the fire and they were taken to the hospital.”
The General Directorate of Saudi Civil Defence earlier issued a message on Twitter that they are working hard to fight the fire. The health authorities in Jeddah also tweeted the public as much as possible to stay away from smoke.
A film uploaded by the Mecca government on Twitter showed that smoke was thrown out of the station building.
