Holding the first round of political consultations between the UAE and New Zealand

The first round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade was held in Wellington.

The UAE side was headed by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs. – Undersecretary of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and HE Stuart Horn, Director of the Middle East and Africa Department.

During the consultations, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways of developing them in various fields. They also discussed cooperation between the two foreign ministries.

The two sides discussed current regional developments and discussed a number of international issues of common concern.

On the sidelines of the consultations, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs, held a political seminar in the New Zealand Parliament on the situation in the Middle East.

The UAE delegation also met with HE Megan Woods, Minister of Energy and Resources, Minister of Research, Science and Innovation, and the New Zealand Parliamentary Friendship Committee for the Middle East.
